The American Legion is conducting a two-day Veterans Small Business Workshop in conjunction with the annual Washington Conference in Washington, D.C.,, Feb. 23-24. The workshop is free and specifically designed for servicemembers, veterans and spouses who own their own businesses or are thinking about starting one
The two-day session intensive entrepreneurship course was created by the Legion in partnership with local non-profits and small businesses such as Vets GSA LLC, Goldschmitt & Assoc. LLC. and National Veterans Small Business Coalition (NVSBC). After completing this free course, participants will have the tools and knowledge they need to identify a business opportunity, avoid common pitfalls and maximize their earning potential.
The Legion’s Small Business Roadmap to Success will include two full days of classes on policy updates, best practices and legal pitfalls. It will also include multiple networking sessions and a business luncheon where federal procurement officials and large businesses are present to engage small businesses on contracting opportunities.
